Graduate Assistantships
Interested in a career in Higher Education?
Intercultural Student Affairs offers assistantships in each of the three student-led outreach centers: the LGBT Center, Multicultural Center, and Women’s Center; and for the Black Male Excellence Residential Learning Community Initiative. We aspire to contribute to a campus-wide conversation that advances the University’s commitment to an inclusive learning environment for everyone.
*Graduate assistantships are offered for 20 hours per week*

The Henderson Springs LGBT Center, a unit of the office of Intercultural Student Affairs, is a resource, referral, and social outlet for the campus and surrounding community. The center provides a safe, welcoming, supportive, and inclusive space for all people regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.

The Women’s Center enhances awareness of the challenges facing women on this campus and in this society, and to promote, support, and celebrate the diverse Appalachian State University women’s community. We strive to foster an environment that creates opportunities for the education, leadership development and personal growth of women, regardless of their background or beliefs.
